EY donates K2.6 million to Icam
EY on Tuesday made a K2.6 million donation to support preparations for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (Icam) annual lake shore conference scheduled for this weekend.
The conference will be held under the theme, ‘Strengthening Governance and Accountability for Sustainable Development.’
EY Advisory Senior, Caroline Nongwa, said the conference’s theme is in line with EY’s tag line to build a better working world.
“Where we have forums like this, the focus is on governance and accountability. It is a unique opportunity for us to support our values,” she said.
Icam Director of Technical and Membership Services, Charles Chimpeni, thanked EY for the support. The conference is expected to tackle issues of public resource expenditure and Finance Minister, Goodall Gondwe, is expected to be guest of honour at the event.
