Musician Faith Mussa, architect of the hit ‘Mdidi’, will on Saturday give people a treat in the form of a free ‘Faith Mussa Live Worship Experience’ at St Michael and All Angels CCAP Church in Blantyre.

Mussa, who has had a great experience this year in music by, among other activities, performing at the Glastonbury Festival in United Kingdom for the first time, said he wants to give people another experience.

“This will also be like a Christmas bonus for people. I thought I should give people another experience and it will all be Faith Mussa for free, so long as one has a ticket,” he said.

Mussa said, through the concert, he also wants to be give back to the people who have been supporting him.

“I have been making free shows mainly in rural areas – Mangochi, Machinga and Balaka— to reach out to fans who may, otherwise, not manage to travel to Lilongwe, Blantyre and Zomba and even pay,” he observed.

The singer said, at the Blantyre event, CDs and other merchandise will be available for sale.

“Although it’s free, admission is strictly by the free tickets that people have been booking and collecting,” he said.

His manager, Samuel Chiwaka, said yesterday that most tickets for event have been booked.

“We are remaining with a few for now. It’s another experience for Faith Mussa, who will be performing in one of the oldest churches in the country,” Chiwaka said.

He said St Michael and All Angels is a national monument and that this was a significant venue.

“We know we are experiencing power outages but we are ready and people should not worry,” Chiwaka said.

He said people will be given a perfect treat at one of the oldest churches as one way of kick-starting the festive season.

Chiwaka added that, during the concert, people should brace for more vibes from Mussa, who may perform unreleased songs that are set to be in his next album slated for release next year.
