Singer and guitarist Faith Mussa makes a long journey from Lilongwe, where he is based, to Blantyre tomorrow to treat people to a corporate tip concert.

Faith and his manager Samuel Chiwaka have decided to hold a show for the first time at Mike Appel and Gatto Limited showroom.

It has been Faith’s trend to offer diverse sets of concerts and apart from this being a showroom, people should brace for a one-man band performance that the ‘Mdidi’ star has toured with on a number of occasions outside the country.

“This is a super showcase and this is the first time that I am doing a purely one-man band show in Blantyre,” he said.

Ahead of the concert, Faith partnered Mike Appel and Gatto Limited, his long-time sponsor, in an international women’s month special where the company has been offering free car services to all vehicles owned and registered by women.

The move came in the awake of the one-man band showdown.

Chiwaka said they were prepared 100 percent and called upon people to patronise the event.

“The chefs are ready, everyone has been paid and we have a surprise for everyone attending the concert. We have a new stage set up and presentation,” he said.

In other musical assignments, musicians George Kalukusha and Neil Nayar have started their Southern African tour which started in Zambia.

“We arrived in Zambia last Thursday. We had a guest performance on Friday and two performances on Sunday. These helped us to make some connections with local artists there and then yesterday (Tuesday) was our main show,” Nayar said.

The two artists, who are based in Lilongwe, are this weekend performing in Harare, Zimbabwe where they have two shows.

“We are driving down to Zimbabwe tomorrow early morning (Thursday),” Nayar said.

He said the shows in Zimbabwe had been organised through contacts they made when a Zimbabwean dance troupe came to Malawi last year and that, with Zambia, they made new contacts through Kalukusha.

Nayar, who is also band manager for Madalitso Band which has been touring Europe, said they are expected back home on Tuesday.
