Faith Mussa to star at investment forum in South Africa

Celebrated musician Faith Mussa of the ‘Mdidi’ fame will perform at the Malawi Investment Forum at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa on May 24 to May 25 2023.
The singer and guitarist, who has performed in a number of high profile events flying the country’s flag, said Tuesday he was excited to get another opportunity to star at the investment forum.
“This is a platform where we are trying to woo investors to come to Malawi and music or art in general is one of the tools to help in that. Apart from showcasing my talent, I will give people a feel of Malawian music,” the Lilongwe-based musician said.
He also said that he has widened his cope by building himself as a corporate artist and that this platform is the right stage for him to show how serious he was in the game.
“I am taking it seriously as a corporate artist and I am also looking at this platform as a great opportunity for creating networks,” Faith said.
The musician’s manager Samuel Chiwaka said Faith’s performance at this forum is an excellent opportunity for self-expression and taking Malawi to the world.
“Our local arts will be amplified during his live performance and in the process helping the audience to focus and understand Malawian arts,” Chiwaka said.
He said it was about time that “we stopped complaining as a nation and started pulling our socks to sell the country to the world in a positive way”.
“We don’t have to wait for the politicians to give us handouts, we need to utilise platforms like these to enhance our creative side and doors will open as they have already been opening for Faith in the past and in recent times,” Chiwaka said.
