At the national level, there was no sign— on land, air and water bodies— that yesterday was a special day for Zomba-based up-and-coming gospel artist Faith Tsoka.

But to Tsoka, it was [an important day]; for this is the day the artist released the Extended Play (EP), Peace of Loving You.

“It has taken me tireless effort and a lot of hard work to successfully work on it. I believe in giving people quality products. I see my career, as singer and song writer, turning white,” Faith said.

The 24-year-old degree holder— obtained from Chancellor College, University of Malawi— said she believes that gospel music is a powerful tool in God’s economy.

It has been a long time for Tsoka, who used to sing in church at the tender age of eight years.

“I used to sing in my church, End of Time Message Believers Church, and some people asked me to record some of the songs. As such, my dad and I looked for a studio to record the songs and that was how I started recording music,” she said.

The EP has been produced at ICP studios, Mulunguzi, in Zomba and has songs such as ‘Known’, ‘Oh! What a Friend’, ‘Yimbirani Chikondi cha Yesu’ and ‘Peace of Loving You’.

Now that she has exposed her songs to the world, she can face the music.
