Fam congratulates Sangala

Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has congratulated its Youth Football Development Officer James Sangala for obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management from Catholic University of Malawi.
Sangala graduated during the university’s 18th cohort at Nguludi in Chiradzulu District on Saturday.
In a brief post on its Facebook page, Fam wrote: “Congratulations to our Youth Development Officer and former Flames captain James Sangala on his academic achievement.”
The post drew 33 comments and 219 likes. One James Kadambo commended Sangala for working hard to obtain the qualification while Kelvin Mlauzi said sports personalities should take education seriously if they are to make it in life.
Sangala expressed excitement with the achievement, saying it would broaden his horizon in different aspects of life.
“I must testify that the knowledge I have acquired through the course has been helping me even before the graduation ceremony. I have done better in my work at Fam since I enrolled in the university.
“I now understand things better. I now make informed decisions. Going forward, I would like to diversify my career path both within the game and outside it,” he said.
Most sports personalities across the country have struggled with life after playing days as they lack academic qualifications to help them secure well paying jobs.
