FCB Nyasa Bullets announce 33-member squad

TNM Super League and FDH Bank Cup champions FCB Nyasa Bullets have announced a 33- man squad for the 2023 season.
The squad includes eight new players who coach Kalisto Pasuwa believes will contribute towards his hunt for a sixth straight elite league title following his arrival at Bullets in 2018.
The new signings are Maxwell Phodo, Chawanangwa Gumbo, Clyde Senaji Navade, Collins Okumu, Chinedu Okafor, Mike Mkwate, Kenneth Pasuwa and Ephraim Kondowe.
The announcement comes after Bullets retained the Fam/ NBS Bank Charity Shield with a 2-1 beating of Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe on Sunday.
However, Pasuwa said most of his players were not yet there.
“You see, we are starting the season and most of the guys are not yet up there, especially guys who were with the national team, and we didn’t do pre-season with them. So, if you can see, we are trying to have combinations coming.
“They can pull up maybe 45 minutes where they will be using a lot of energy in them and later, in the second half, they lose concentration. So, it’s something which we need to work on,” nyasabigbullets.com quotes him as telling reporters after the match.
The People’s Team begins its title defence against Silver Strikers at BNS tomorrow.
The full list of the players is as follows:
