FDH Bank has reiterated its commitment to promoting savings and investment culture among Malawians.
FDH Bank Senior Manager for Channels, Personal and Business Development Maureen Nalikungwi said this on Tuesday after conducting the second draw of its Wankaka Promotion, which saw some customers winning prizes.
She said the bank was also committed to contributing towards the national financial inclusion drive.
The draw saw Goodson Chisoso walking away with K300, 000 while 20 people walked away with K50, 000 each, 10 people won two 50kg bags of fertiliser each, 25 people got Flames jerseys and 50 people won two metres of FDH Chitenje.
In an interview after the draw, Nalikungwi hailed the promotion which, she said, had received overwhelming support from customers.
“As we congratulate yet another set of winners today, we are equally celebrating the overwhelming response from our customers since the beginning of the promotion in April and this makes the promotion progressive for both us and our customers,” Nalikungwi said.
Through the promotion, the bank is encouraging customers to maintain a minimum of K50, 000 for at least a month in their savings account while new customers are encouraged to open a Savings Account and maintain a minimum of K50, 000 for a month.
Nalikungwi said this has seen customers mastering the discipline of saving money.
“By nurturing the savings culture, which is a catalyst for growth and investment, customers are winning and benefitting from this promotion. We have two draws to go that will unveil our K5 million grand prize winner and we are excited about the prospect,” she said.
The promotion started on April 23 and runs to August 23 2021.
