FDH donates to Muslim students
FDH Bank on Thursday donated K2 million to the Muslim Students Association to help towards meeting the association’s needs in improving education.
FDH Head of Risk, William Mpinganjira, made the donation on behalf of the bank.
Mpinganjira said the funding is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility and a component of the bank’s special fund towards improving education.
Addressing journalists on the sidelines of the event, Mpinganjira reiterated the bank’s commitment to improve education standards in the country.
“We normally track how the funds are used to ensure that there is an impact. We are so certain that the education sector is critical to improve the economy, hence, the donation,” Mpinganjira said.
President of the Muslim Students Association, Saleh Iman, commended the bank for the support.
He said the funds will help to ease the challenges the Association is facing.
Recently, FDH bank also invested about K20 million in ICT equipment for community technical colleges.
