FDH gives AEJ K1.5 million

FDH Bank has donated K1.5 million to the Association of Environmental Journalists (AEJ) to cater for its annual general meeting to be held in Lilongwe in September.
The money will specifically sponsor three categories of the Green Photojournalist of the Year, Green Accountability Award and the Green Documentary awards.
Speaking during the official handover ceremony of the funds, FDH Public Relations and Brand Activation Officer Lorraine Chikhula said the donation was part of the FDH Cares programme which has ‘Our Environment’ as one of the pillars.
“We are therefore, pleased to be part of this great initiative and we applaud the role the association is playing in conserving the environment,” she said.
AEJ Vice President Wezi Nyirongo Chamanza hailed FDH Bank for the support, rating it as timely.
“We know that there are a number of companies who are struggling financially because of the Covid pandemic and it takes a true partner to help. Therefore we are grateful to FDH for the support,” she said.
The association consists of journalists who focus on the environment.
