FDH splashes prizes in Digi Save promotion

One of the country’s commercial banks, FDH Bank, on Monday splashed various prizes during the first draw of its Digi Save promotion.

The draw, held at the bank’s head office in Blantyre, saw Lilongwe-based Sosten Thomas Cholomo winning the top monthly prize of K500, 000.

Other prizes given away included three Huawei Y6 Pro phones, K50, 000 each to 10 customers and 20 T-shirts.

FDH Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking, Kawawa Nsapato, said impressed with the excitement the promotion has generated.

Nsapato said the promotion is designed to encourage people to embrace the culture of saving in addition to experiencing the FDH Mobile digital revolution.

To enter the promotion, new customers must open a savings account with at least K20, 000 and connect it to FDH Mobile.

“Customers who are already on FDH Mobile can also qualify for the draw by maintaining a balance of K50,000 a month in a savings account. Furthermore, those that transact on FDH Mobile at least five times a month either on bill payments, airtime purchase, transfers or cash outs stand a chance of winning great prizes in this promotion.

“We also want to see those that are registered on the mobile platform transacting regularly and taking control of their own financial transactions without going to a branch of the bank. Moving with the times is always crucial. Nowadays it is not the fittest who survive but those that adapt to change quickly. Times are changing and we need to get in line with developments,” Nsapato said.

The promotion, which runs for three months from May 25 to August 25, will see the overall winner carting home K1 million.
