After a four year break, Mzuzu- based reggae artist, Fideman Rise is back with his fourth album titled Sungatembelele.
Fideman Rise said the album will be on the market on August 10 2020.
Born Philimon Tembo, Fideman Rise, said he took a break to give himself more time to work on the fourth album which has eight songs.
The last time he dropped an album was in 2016 when he came out with Ndinu Mfumu.
“The songs in the album have important messages tackling various issues affecting the society. As artists, we are the voice of the voiceless and that is what I have just done,” he said.
Among other messages he has touched on are unity, love and hope.
He said plans are in pipeline to organise a show for the launch of the new album.
With the world hit by Covid-19 pandemic, the artist said he has also taken time to come up with a song that talks about the pandemic.
“The song is trying to inform people that Coronavirus is real and they should take the necessary precautionary measures in the fight against the pandemic,” Fideman Rise said.
Some of the songs in the album are ‘Ntchito’, ‘Malawi ndi M’modzi’, ‘Milungu Yabodza’, ‘Muwadalitsenso’, ‘Malume Mubwere’, and ‘Zotsala’.
The album was recorded and produced at Rise Records.
Fideman Rise’s previous albums are Wakumtima, Lonjezo, and Ndinu Mfumu released in 2012, 2014 and 2016 respectively.
