Finca donates to cyclone survivors
Finca Malawi this week donated relief items worth over K3 million to Cyclone Freddy survivors at Mbiyemwana centre in Thyolo District.
The items include blankets, plates, maize flour, soya pieces and clothes.
Over 160 families are still camping at Mbiyemwana centre after their houses were damaged while their other property was washed away.
Finca Malawi Marketing Manager Takondwa Chirwa said the firm remains concerned with the devastation brought about by the cyclone.
“We sincerely hope that these items will help the beneficiaries regain their livelihood,” Chirwa said.
Finca directed the support through the Red Cross.
Finca also promised to help Malawians ‘Build a Brighter Future’.
Finca Malawi is a subsidiary of Finca Impact Finance and started its operations in Malawi in 1994.
