Finca opens Nchalo Branch
Finca Malawi has opened a branch at Nchalo in order to serve its small and medium scale business clients based in the Lower Shire.
The branch is the seventh to be opened since Finca was granted a deposit taking licence by the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) last year.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, RBM Director of Microfinance and Capital Markets, Hastings Mzoma, urged communities in Nchalo to embrace the changes coming from Finca Malawi.
“We believe that your deposit taking status will open various doors of opportunities for both Finca Malawi and its clients,” Mzoma said.
Finca Malawi Chief executive officer, Chris Kizza, said the bank will continue championing efforts to enhance financial inclusion.
“Our success is built on the foundation of our relationship with our customers as we work towards building tomorrow together,” Kizza said.
“The opening of the branch is in line with government efforts of advancing financial inclusion and promoting saving culture,” he said.
