Training and consultancy firm, Sycamore Consult Limited, has revealed that it is mobilising local and international investors to partner with, or provide capital funding to start-up businesses in the country.
This came out during a virtual entrepreneurship training the firm held on Wednesday.
Sycamore Consult Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mwai Makwakwa, said the initiative dubbed bulls funding will mobilise resources to benefit entrepreneurs that have brilliant ideas but are lacking capital.
“We have established a group called the bulls club, where we have organised a group of investors willing to help local entrepreneurs to establish businesses.
“The terms of funding will be decided between the investors and the entrepreneur whether it will be a partnership or a loan but the club is ready to match any investment amount,” Makwakwa said.
On the essence of the training, he added that they saw a gap in sustenance of start-up businesses on the market especially that entrepreneurs lacked skills in research and developing a survival strategy.
Keynote speaker during the workshop, Zambian businessperson, Dumisan Ncube, tipped entrepreneurs to establish start-ups that respond to community challenges.
“Sometimes all you need is to partner with others to mobilise resource and share ideas that will help the business to grow,” Ncube said.
