Fischer Kondowe available

Nyasa Big Bullets’ senior player, Fischer Kondowe, has—in reaction to a nagging question on whether he is retiring or not—said he is available next season.
“I am available and would retire when my body shall feel tired, not because someone wants me retired.
“After having a successful 2017 season, my focus has shifted to 2018 season,” Kondowe told a local radio station yesterday.
The oldest player in the Bullets’ squad also hailed the team’s new-comers for contributing to the club’s success in the just-ended season.
“We worked as a team to grab the Carlsberg Cup, and the coming in of players such as Nelson Kangunje spiced up our efforts to achieve something,” Kondowe said.
Last week, Bullets Chairperson, Noel Lipipa, announced that they would chop 12 players, amid reports that club is closing in on signing Premier Bet Wizards’ striker Patrick Phiri.
But Bullets interim General Secretary, Albert Chigoga, asked for more time before responding to reports linking Phiri with a move to the giants.
Bullets finished the 2017 TNM Super League season on second position behind eventual champions, Be Forward Wanderers.
