Fisd Limited rescues Bingu National Stadium
Agrees to install water pumping machinery for free

Irrigation and solar energy experts, Fisd Limited Company, has announced plans to plant an irrigation machinery at Bingu National Stadium.
The move is aimed at helping the facility to sustain its vegetative cover and save water bills.
This follows a request from Minister of Sports Ulemu Msungama to consider partnering with the government by assisting BNS.
Fisd Marketing Manager Wezi Chiumia said as a Malawian company they believe in helping the government to promote sport in the country.
“As you know we are an indigenous company. This is our home and we offer solutions that complement the government’s efforts in developing the youth and sports, so when we were approached by the ministry we said; why not?” said Chiumia whose firm also sponsors the K60 million Fisd Challenge Cup.
Chiumia said Fisd has been assisting sport development in various forms including funding Queens legend Mary Waya to undergo a coaching training in the United Kingdom and also sponsoring a football team.
Msungama commended Fisd saying government will save K4 million in water bill monthly.
“I am happy that Fisd has accepted to partner us run the Bingu National Stadium. This stadium has got about 850 toilets so some of the toilets were not functioning as were unable to pay for water bills,” he said.
