Fisd quarter finals line up complete

The quarterfinals line up in Fisd Challenge Cup has been completed after brothers in arms, Kamuzu Barracks and Moyale Barracks sealed the last two slots.
Moyale knocked out TN Stars 2-1 at Kasungu Stadium Sunday. Deus Nkutu and Wacheta Mwenefumbo scored for Moyale whereas Wister Phiri was on target for TN Stars.
The Lions of Kaning’ina will now face a tricky away assignment against Blue Eagles.
In another match played at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, Ntopwa FC were knocked out by Kamuzu Barracks.
Josiah Duwa gave Ntopwa the lead but Francesco Kamdzeka grabbed a brace to lead the 2017 Fisd champions into the last eight.
KB will now travel to the Northern Region to date Savenda Chitipa United.
In the pick of the quarterfinals, Silver Strikers will entertain Nyasa Big Bullets whereas defending champions Be Forward Wanderers will date Premier Division side Hangover FC.
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Director of Competitions, Gomezgani Zakazaka, said the venues and dates of quarterfinal matches would be released today.
“So far the journey has been good and exciting,” he said.
