Fisd Wizards keeper’s acrobatic saves thrill
Fisd Wizards goalkeeper, Brighton Munthali’s acrobatic saves thrilled fans as the rookies held Moyale Barracks to a 0-0 draw in a TNM Super League match on Saturday at Mzuzu Stadium.
The young ‘keeper stopped Moyale strikers Komani Msiska, Dan Katunga and Robert Simkonda in man-to-man situations as the hosts sought to bounce back from last week’s 1-0 loss to Silver Strikers.
Wizards, proudly known for their one-touch passing football, were also a marvel to watch, especially through Blessings Joseph, Rafick Namwera and Trever Kalema.
Wizards also created great chances through Godfrey Masonda, Keston Kasonda and Anzeru Josephy, but could not score during the game that had Moyale’s Clifford Fukizi red-carded after a rough tackle on Damiano Kunje for the visitors.
After the draw, Moyale were before Sunday matches, on position 10 with 20 points from 16 games, whereas Wizards remain bottom on 10 points from 16 games. Wizards were meeting Mzuni as we went to press.
