Ten groups will goon the stage Saturday to battle in the Ka Jive Dance competition Season Four elimination stage to be held at Times Entertainment Studio in Blantyre.
The 10 groups kick-starting the elimination stage are Brightos, Soweto Babies, Anomix, Momentum, Tridax Chibaya, Born Major, Khybon Dance, Invisible Crew, Roll Up Dance Crew and The Gap Connection.
Times Group Commercial Manager Lusayo Msukwa, said Thursday that the elimination stage promises fireworks as the 30 groups have prepared to offer new routines.
“We are starting with 10 for the first elimination stage and then we will have another 10 in the second phase and then the remaining 10,” Msukwa said.
With K1 million at stake as the top prize and K400,000 for second position, some members of the groups that are in the elimination stage have said they are looking forward to the contest and show the audience their dance moves.
One of the Judges Robert Magasa challenged the groups to train hard in their routines saying they will be looking at several elements for them to earn a ticket to the next round.
“The auditions were massive but I expect new things in the elimination stage. It is time for the groups to show their creativity in their routines,” he said.
The 10 groups opening the elimination stage are set to perform free style and traditional dances.
The dance competition which has over the years helped expose dance talent, will also see the second runner up receive K150,000 courtesy of Mchinji Boys Construction led by Justice Katika.
The dance competition will be beamed live on Times Television and is set to be spiced by youthful musician Eli Njuchi.
The competition is expected to end on December 19 2020.
