Flames duo helps Polokwane’s bid

Malawi National Football Team defender Denis Chembezi and striker Khuda Muyaba are confident that their South African National First Division (NFD) side Polokwane City FC will earn promotion back to the Premier Soccer League.
Polokwane were relegated last season but are now fighting for PSL return in the GladAfrica Championship.
The Limpopo side beat Sekhukhune United 1-0 in the GladAfrica Championship on Saturday to go second on the standings with 11 points from five matches.
However, Polokwane have a game in hand as leaders Jomo Cosmos have played six games despite tying on points.
Both Flames players featured during the match, with Khuda coming in as a substitute whereas Chembezi started from the bench.
Chembezi said they were working hard to return to the PSL next season.
The former Be Forward Wanderers defender said it was too early to declare that they would return to the top flight league as competition in the lower-tier was equally tough.
“Life at NFD is quite okay. We are playing games and the good thing is that we have not lost any match. We are pushing to return but this won’t be an easy task. All in all, everything is going on well,” Chembezi said.
Both Chembezi and Khuda joined Polokwane in January last year.
Meanwhile, Chawanangwa Kaonga’s TS Sporting is struggling, having collected six points from six matches.
Kaonga’s TS Sporting is on position 10.
