Malawi National Football Team Captain Limbikani Mzava has said he is committed to stay at DStv Premiership side Amazulu despite lack of game time.
Mzava has made less than four club appearances this season but he is optimistic that he will be given a chance to play regularly for Amazulu when he returns to the team from national duty.
“It is sad that I am lacking game time at my club but that is part of the game. I believe that I still have something to offer to the team. I am sure that, once the season resumes, I will play,” Mzava said.
The former defunct Escom United defender, who suffered an injury during Flames’ 2-1 win over Zimbabwe at Africa Cup of Nations final, was confident that he would recover soon.
“I am now feeling better and will go for check-up this week. I am certain that I will be okay and help my club in forthcoming games,” he said.
Mzava’s Amazulu will resume the DStv Premiership season with a match against TS Galaxy on February 16.
