Flames start 2019 Afcon race at home
By Williams Gondwa:

Malawi national football team will begin and conclude its 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying campaign at home.
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Competitions and Media Director, Gomezgani Zakazaka, confirmed that Caf had released the tentative fixtures.
Zakazaka said the Flames, who were drawn in group B alongside Uganda, Burkina Faso, will host the winner of the preliminary round match between South Sudan and Seychelles.
He said this would be followed by a trip to Uganda between November 11 and 19 2019.
He said Confederation of African Football (Caf) would announce actual kick-off time and dates after consulting host federations.
“Indeed, Caf has released the 2021 Afcon fixtures and we are very happy with this as our coach Meke Mwase will have a chance to plan well. We have no doubt that we will do everything possible for the Flames to qualify for the finals,” Zakazaka said.
Flames face Burkina Faso back-to-back—away and home—between August 31 and September 8 2020.
The Flames meet either Sudan or Seychelles between October 5 and 13 before finishing the campaign at home against Uganda between November 9 and 17 2020.
Top two teams from the group will qualify for the final tournament.
