You have an inborn desire to be successful, to write your name in the Guinness book of achievers. You despair when it seems that no matter what you do, success eludes you like soap bubbles snaking through your fingers. Do you actually wonder what it takes to be successful? What is the magic for success? Success does not just come, success is rubbed on the feathers of the eagle. Fly with the eagle then you will get the magic for success.

Leadership gurus that studied the lives of the eagle noted key seven principles that makes the eagle the most successful hunter of all birds and animals. Follow and live the principles then you are on your highway to the paradise of success.

The first unique factor of the eagle is that it flies alone at a high attitude. Eagles do not fly with sparrows and other small birds. All what that says is that stay away from narrow minded people, those that bring you down. Assess the people you spend your time with.

If you want to be a success then be in the company of successful people because you will share the same language, you will be taking of success stories and you will be cross inspiring each other. Eagle flies with eagles. That is the reason why you see top executives play golf and have time to chat over a drink or snacks or meals at golf clubs and other exclusive place.

Secondly, fortify your vision. Eagles have accurate vision. They have the ability to focus on something as far as five kilometres away. No matter what the obstacles, the eagle will not move its focus from the prey until it grabs it. Decide what exactly you want to accomplish in life and no matter how it seems unreachable, lose no focus, persevere until you grab it. Success can only come after wading through the stormy waters of obstacles.

When you fly high with eagles you will learn that eagles do not eat dead things. They feed only on fresh prey. The lesson is very simple —do not rely on your past success. Keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. You will not get promoted today for how exceptional you were five years ago.

People will not respect you today because you were a corporate executive five years ago through now you carry no mantle of corporate position on your shoulders. Forget the qualifications you earned. Keep on hunting for new knowledge. The world is changing. What you used to be is gone and becoming obsolete. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past

It is obvious that difference makers relish challenges. At the moment others are risk assessors and hibernators, successful people take the risks head on and they become the only player. That is exactly what eagles do. Eagles love storm. When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited; the eagle uses the storm wind to lift itself higher.

Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its winds. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably.

As you fly in life you will have to establish partnerships and friendship. Assess the commitment. It matters. You need to be in friendships and partnerships that are symbiotic than parasitic. When a female eagle meets a male, she tests him for commitment. Whether in private life or business, one should test the commitment of the people intended for partnership.

There is a say that the comfort zone is the death zone and in your flying with the eagles you will experience that. Eagles remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually flies when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest.

Take away the debris of matters that makes you feel comfortable as that will restrict your growth. Be uncomfortable. Feel challenged and that will make a difference.

Finally, when the eagle grows old, it undertakes the painful process of plucking off its feathers and claws so that new and strong ones grow.

We need that in life. Pluck off the old habits that may have worked then but are irrelevant now. That is the reason why strategic plans have a specific time because you realise that at one point the business terrain will not be the same. Grow new knowledge, new partnership.

Fly with the eagle, then you will master success principles that the eagle follows.
