CHIKWAKWA—I have also tackled the issue of prayer

Former Malawi Writers Union (Mawu) religious desk chairperson Raphael Chikwakwa has published his second book titled Accessing Heavenly Kingdom Keys.

His second book comes barely a year after Chikwakwa published his first book Chinsinsi cha Banja.

He said Wednesday that he was happy to have created another milestone in his writing career by publishing his second book.

“Unlike the first book which was in Chichewa, the second book has taken me more time because I gave it to more people to help in editing. Again, the first one was more like testing the waters but, this second one, I have written it with all the experience,” Chikwakwa said.

He said writing books is his passion as a writer and thus called on writers out there to continue writing as there were so many stories out there.

“In these times, where the world has been affected by Covid-19, writers need to offer words of love and also give hope to people and that is through publishing of books,” Chikwakwa said.

He said the book is talking about how “we can advance the heavenly kingdom after receiving spiritual powers” from Jesus Christ.

“God is still raising leaders to advance His kingdom on earth. In this book, I am encouraging people to understand their call from God. I have also written about joining the spiritual race. Many people do not know that we are in a race,” Chikwakwa said.

He said that that Jesus Christ is the author of this race and that we must run to win a prize at the end of the race.

“I have also tackled the issue of prayer. Many people do not know the importance of prayer. You cannot be a strong believer if you don’t pray. Jesus Christ taught about the importance of prayer. We communicate with God through prayer,” Chikwakwa said.

He said people could access the book at Kwa Haraba Art Gallery in Blantyre.
