Francisco Madinga scores in Georgia

Former Be Forward Wanderers winger Francisco Madinga, believes he will easily settle at Dila Gori in Georgia after scoring in the league’s opener on Sunday.

The slippery winger stepped from bench to score the second goal and help Gori defeat Torpedo Kutaisi 2-0 Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga.

Madinga said scoring on his debut will help him overcome nervousness.

“It is always a very good experience to score in a highly competitive match like this and it is good for my confidence. I thank God for what he has done to me. I will keep on working hard and focus on my career,” Madinga, who is playing in a country ranked 75 in the world said.

Wanderers signed Madinga from developmental side, Namiwawa.

His former coach, Silas Luwindo, said Madinga can secure better deals if he continues to work hard.

“I can see his hardworking spirit and humility taking him far. He has a very big chance to go miles with his career. He has opened a new chapter in his career so he must embrace this chance,” he said.

Gori signed Madinga for around K10 million.
