Georgia based attacker Francisco Madinga has said he is now adapting to his teams’ Dila Gori playing style.
Madinga scored Gori’s fourth goal in the teams’ 6-1 drubbing of Chikhura Sachkhere in a 2020 Erovnuli Liga match at Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium on Saturday.
This was Madinga’s second goal since joining the club in February this year.
Madinga said he was happy to score for his club after a dry spell.
“I was struggling to make it into the starting team but I am happy that I have returned with a goal. This was really encouraging and I will work hard to maintain my good performance,” said the former Be Forward Wanderers player.
Madinga said he was available for national team duties should Flames coach Meck Mwase consider him for the back to back 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burkina Faso.
“It was just unfortunate that I missed the two recent friendly matches which the Flames played. This was due to logistical but it is my wish to be part of the squad that will face Burkina Faso,” said the Namiwawa FC product.
Madinga signed a three year deal with Gori from Wanderers.
