Franco Ndawa expects ‘physical’ Moyale Barracks

Civil Sporting Club Coach, Franco Ndawa, is expecting Moyale Barracks to deploy a physical approach to this afternoon’s TNM Super League contest at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

Civil opt for attacking football with build ups right from goalkeeper to strikers.

But Ndawa knows there is need for a right balance in this meeting against Moyale.

“Moyale is a good team and they are playing good football. Our target is a top eight finish but we are not setting ourselves targets in terms of the number of points we hope to collect.”

“Against Moyale, we expect them to play a physical game. We have a strategy for them but I will not reveal it. All I can say is that we know what to expect from the opponents,” he said.

Civil started the second-round with a 2-0 win over Chitipa in Mzuzu on Monday and the civil servants hope to build on that.

Ndawa has at his disposal riches of talent such as blossoming defender Gomezgani Chirwa, play-maker Joseph Kachule and rising strikers Righteous Banda and Fletcher Bandawe.

Moyale, too, have been buoyed by the return of Coach Nicholas Mhango.

With Deus Nkutu back in form and Khuda Muyaba scoring in every two games, this afternoon’s contest could be decided by the teams outscoring each other.

Tomorrow, Moyale will line up against Masters Security FC in what would be the rookies Coach, Abbas Makawa’s first game in charge since replacing Benjamin Kumwenda.
