Franco Ndawa hopes for the better

Despite a poor start to the TNM Super League season, Civil Sporting Club Coach, Franco Ndawa, hopes the team will bounce back with a surprise.

Civil have won once (1-0 against Blantyre United) out of five league games.

On Sunday, after losing 3-0 to Nyasa Big Bullets at Kalulu Ground in Nchalo, Chikwawa District, Ndawa said he was not worried with the losses.

“It is part of the game. We cannot win and lose all games. However, as you may be aware, it is like we are building a team with players from Epac and Civo United. We believe the boys just need time to settle down. Maybe we still need to work on some areas to ensure that we start winning,” he said.

Ndawa was hired after the expiry of Charles Manda’s contract as the team got relegated from the top-flight league last season.

Meanwhile, the team has also roped in their former player and coach Oscar Kaunda to deputise Ndawa.

Gabriel Chirwa, formerly of Blue Eagles, is now the Team Manager.

Civil have also lost by 1-0 margins to Premier Bet Wizards, Mafco and by 2-1 to Masters Security.
