Frank Josiya’s ‘Letter’ breaks boundaries

Reggae dancehall musician Frank Josiya has something to smile about as his songs has crossed borders.
The artist’s track ‘Letter’ is currently enjoying airplay in countries such as Zambia and Zimbabwe according to feedback he has been receiving through online platforms.
The romantic track narrates a story of a man who falls in love with a lady and then decides to express his feelings via a letter.
The man uses the letter to decorate the woman breathing in beautifully woven words and further pledges to be a good partner once she gives him her heart.
Josiya said this is just the beginning as he wants his songs to have dominance on both local and international markets.
“Having your songs enjoying airplay in other countries is something worth celebrating. This has motivated me to work hard. I am building slowly and people should just watch the space for more good music,” he said.
The artist’s previous projects have made way to Trace channel.
The artist commended fellow artists for the improvements made in their music regardless of the fact that the industry is not rewarding in comparison to countries like South Africa and Nigeria.
“People think we are rich when watching us on television, but that is very much contrary to what we are. It is my wish that one day things will change and that artists will start benefitting from their art,” Josiya said.
Josiya has since said he wants to grow his musical career by establishing a band and music company.
The Lilongwe-based artist’s music journey dates back to 2014 and he has released a number of songs.
