Free agent Limbikani Mzava optimistic

Free agent Limbikani Mzava says he is confident of securing a new deal after parting ways with South Africa’s Premier Soccer League side Highlands Park.

Mzava has excused himself from national team duties in his bid to finalise discussions with his manager to seal another deal in South Africa.

“I am sure very soon you will hear where I am going. I am supposed to finalise this deal by this weekend. So let’s wait until it is done,” he said.

The former Mighty Tigers defender said being a free agent, he can sign for any team despite the closing of Fifa transfer window on Monday.

Mzava was offloaded at Highlands Park after the club sold its PSL status to TS Galaxy which is owned by Tima Sukazi.

Surprisingly the Flames defender was outstanding during the 2019-2020 season as he featured in most games.

Mzava joined Bloemfontein Celtic from disbanded Escom United in 2011. He then moved to Mpumalanga Black Access for the 2015-16 season before joining Golden Arrows where he left in 2019 to join Highlands Park. Mzava made his international debut for Malawi in 2009.
