As TNM Super League teams have resumed training ahead of the season there are several valuable players up for grabs after being released by their former employers during the lockdown.
The list of free agents includes Victor Limbani, Damiano Kunje, Blessings Kameza, Timothy Chitedze and Amadu Makawa among others.
Limbani is one of the experienced midfielders on domestic football has found himself hunting for club after he was released at Silver Strikers alongside Kameza, Chitedze and Kunje whereas Makawa is a free agent after parting ways with Masters Security.
In an interview Tuesday, Limbani said he was still weighing options.
“I have not made up my mind on the next move. I am not in a hurry but hopefully soon I will finalise discussion with one of the teams,” said Limbani who moved to Silver from Nyasa Big Bullets.
At Silver, Limbani helped the club to win the Airtel Top 8 Cup twice in three years in 2017 and 2019.
On his part, Kameza said he was considering returning to Civo Service United after his move to Kamuzu Barracks did not go through.
“It is my desire to play for Civo again but it will depend on the management. I believe I am strong that I can play for more years,” he said.
Kameza played for Civo last season on loan from Silver but he wanted to join KB early this year.
Makawa, formerly of Dedza Young Soccer and Bullets, is also set to join Civo ahead of the new season.
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) is expected to open the transfer window before the start of the season.
Sulom Vice General Secretary, Zachalira Nyirenda confirmed the development yesterday.
However, according to transfer rules and regulations free agents are allowed to join teams outside the transfer window.
