From US to tempt the Warm Heart

There have discussions on social media the whole week as to whether United States of America (USA) vocal group The Temptations was the real deal or it was a different Temptations coming to Malawi with their tour dates indicating that they would be performing in USA this weekend.
But Africa Global Travel and Tours, who have initiated the group’s coming, insisted Thursday through its Chief Executive Officer, Francis Muleso that people should not doubt as all was set for the showdown.
“We have made sure that this should be the best of the best performance. Those in doubt just buy a ticket and you will confirm at the show,” Muleso said Thursday morning.
The group was expected to jet in the country Thursday afternoon ahead of their performance at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe Saturday where they are expected to share the stage with Patience Namadingo.
Muleso then sent pictures of the members of the group before departure from South Africa to Malawi Thursday.
“They are five in total. They are very excited to come to Malawi and are ready to perform their popular songs,” he said.
The group was also expected to hold a press conference Thursday afternoon in Lilongwe upon arrival.
Spokesperson for the event, Mphatso Chaluluka, said Thursday morning that people should get the tickets.
“These guys have already performed in South Africa and Zambia before and the shows had great reviews. It is now time for Malawi,” Chaluluka said.
On the confusion on whether they were the real Temptations, Chaluluka, said: “That would be clarified by the group when they are in this afternoon (yesterday). As promoters, we are all set for a great performance”.
The Temptations are one of the most successful groups in music history, having enjoyed unequalled success with a series of chart-topping hits such as ‘Soul to Soul’, ‘My Girl’, ‘I Can’t Get Next to You’ and ‘Papa wa a Rollin Stone’.
