G4S, UGI sign strategic deal
G4S Secure Solutions Limited Malawi (G4S) and United General Insurance Limited (UGI) have struck a strategic partnership which will see the two companies work together to reduce risks on car thefts, accidents and loss of lives among customers.
The agreement will see UGI extending a 10 percent discount to all fleet owners who buy comprehensive insurance cover after procuring and installing the G4S vehicle tracking system.
Signing the agreement on Tuesday, both UGI and G4S committed to champion each other’s interests by promoting and selling each other’s products on the market.
G4S managing director, Colin Stanley, said the vehicle tracking system helps companies and individuals to track their fleet manage drivers and recover vehicles in the event of theft.
“This product has been on the market for more than seven years and is rapidly growing because of the need for motorists to minimise the risk on car thefts and injuries,” he said.
UGI acting general manager, Bywell Chiwoni, said the partnership will help reduce theft and car accidents while providing ideal insurance cover to motorists in Malawi at a discount.
“This cover surpasses the benefits gained from the Road Traffic Act third party damage and third party fire and theft – giving the client a peace of mind,” he said.
