South Africa’s Bidvest Wits forward, Gabadinho Mhango, has said he hopes to make a speedy recovery from a leg injury he suffered on February 25 2018.
The Flames player returned home last Tuesday to complete the treatment of the injury he sustained in Wits’ 2-1 win over Cape Town City.
Gabadinho, speaking during a poetry night at Jaracanda Cultural Centre in Mandala, Blantyre on Friday, said returning to Malawi was ideal for his steady recovery.
“It is good to be home with my family, friends and fans. Currently, I am also undergoing treatment at Beit Cure International Hospital in Blantyre where I am being assisted accordingly.
“I will be out of action for three months because the doctors said it would take 12 weeks for me to recover. I just have to follow their instructions,” he said.
Commenting on the poetry night, Gabadinho said he decided to relax and enjoy with friends.
“I saw a poster either on Facebook or Instagram and I decided to come and watch. Of course, I arrived a bit late but it is always good to associate with such activities,” he said.
Gabadinho has since been ruled out of the March 27 friendly in Uganda.
