Gastin Simkonda begins light-training
Moyale Barracks’ FC prolific striker Gastin Simkonda, who broke his neck in a car accident recently, has given his team a ray of hope by resuming light training.
Simkonda has been out of action since March after being involved in a car accident in Mzimba, alongside team-mates, Lovemore Mitengo and Boyboy Chima.
Simkonda on Friday said he was getting better.
“I have started light training on my own. My return to the pitch will depend on the doctor’s recommendations.
“But what I can say is that I am better because I am now experiencing less pain. It is my career and I miss the game, but I am happy that my team is doing well,” the Moyale Captain said.
Moyale Team Doctor, Zimveka Chatsika, on Sunday refused to comment on Simkonda’s injury, saying he needed permission from his bosses.
