After celebrating 20 years of doing business in Malawi with its Blantyre customers recently, one of the country’s insurance companies, General Alliance on Thursday took the anniversary celebrations to Lilongwe.
General Alliance Insurance Limited General Manager, Karan Savjani, said the company offers the best quality service at competitive prices.
He also disclosed that the company was happy that it received the Claims Paying Ability of AA- award early this year.
“We had been graded as A+ for the last eight years. To the best of our knowledge, General Alliance is one of only two companies rated in Malawi, and certainly we are the highest rated insurer in Malawi.
“In essence what the AA-rating signifies is that General Alliance offers very high claims paying ability, strong protection factor, and risk that is modest, but may vary slightly over time due to economic and/or underwriting condition. This rating is extremely important for insurance clients, as they must be satisfied beyond any doubt that their insurer has the means and ability to pay claim,” he said.
Savjani also said General Alliance is a member of the Globus network, which is a hub based in Paris.
Globus identifies the strongest insurers in a country (one per country) and enters into agreements with the insurer to insure their clients from primarily France and Europe.
“General Alliance has been recognised as one of the star performers in the network,” he said.
He thanked loyal clients whom, he said, have supported the company to grow.
“I thank each one of you for your crucial role to the growth of General Alliance.
“While we strive to provide immaculate service, I am fully aware that no organisation is flawless, and we are always open to suggestions to further improve General Alliance in any way we can,” he said.
