Genki Nakamura returns to Japan
The soccer fraternity will have to wait a bit longer to watch Be Forward Wanderers attacking midfielder, Genki Nakamura, who returned home to Japan on Thursday.
Nakamura, who arrived with pomp and fanfare, is yet to play a competitive game for the Nomads.
Wanderers’ officials claim that Nakamura had despite reportedly obtaining his long-awaited work permit—returned home for holiday.
Wanderers General Secretary, Mike Butao, was not available for a comment, but Team Manager, Steve Madeira, admitted that the player was in Japan.
“It could have been proper to have the full information from our general secretary, but what I know is that he has gone for a holiday and we will start using him when he comes,” Madeira said.
Posting on his face-book page, Nakamura said “I am ‘gonna’ be back in Malawi the first week of June. So, please don’t worry and doubt. See you on the ground!”
Wanderers are struggling in the league having won just once in seven games to collect eight points.
