George Mkandawire set to break silence
Musician George Mkandawire said Monday he is still in the music game despite being out of the limelight for some time.
The talented gospel musician, who has over the years won the hearts of many people with his songs, admitted it has been a long time since he dropped songs.
“It’s not that I stopped music, I will be on the ground very soon. It’s just that sometimes you have to take a break and come back big and better. So to all my fans they should look forward to new music to come out very soon,” Mkandawire said.
He could not be drawn to say when the new songs would be ready.
“I am not in a hurry; people should just watch the space. All I can say is I have made progress and the songs will be ready any time,” the gospel star said.
Based in Lusaka, Zambia, Mkandawire said music is part of his life.
“I cannot dump the talent that God gave me. I love singing. It’s just that things have changed now, music is not the same and so you have to fit into the equation and more importantly appeal to both the old and current generation,” Mkandawire said.
The gospel musician has four albums to his credit namely Nthawi, Themba, Ulendo and Pemphero which did well on the market.
“All the four albums did well on the market and people supported me and so I also need to do more to maintain the trend set by the other albums. It’s not just about coming out to break the silence but to come out better,” he said.
