Germany beckons Patience Namadingo, Princess Chitsulo

Patience Namadingo and Princess Chitsulo are expected to fly the country’s flag as they are set to perform in Germany next month.

The two artists confirmed the development recently but did not divulge more information.

“Yes it’s true but let me not say much for now because I am still sorting out the visa issue,” Chitsulo said.

She however, said it is an honour for her to make the trip to Europe for the first time.

“We need such outings because they give you a chance to reach out to a different audience and at the same time get to network with other artists but the most important thing is representing Malawi,” the female gospel singer said.

Chitsulo and Namadingo have since started working on their visas for their trip to Europe.

There are also indications that Namadingo and his band, is also set to extend performances to Switzerland and France.

Namadingo, who last weekend performed at Zamfest in Lusaka, Zambia, posted the information on his Facebook page.

A letter from International Culture Cultural Office – City of Hannover, written by Janika Millan, indicates that Chitsulo and Namadingo have been invited to visit Hannover for the 50th anniversary of city twinning between Blantyre and Hannover from June 19 -24.

Among others, the two artists will perform on the international stage during the Fete de la Musique on June 21 and also perform at a concert in Kulturzentrum Pavilion together with Makatumbe, winner of Creole Festival 2017.

The official opening of the anniversary of Blantyre and Hannover will be held on June 23 where Mayor Schostok and Blantyre City Mayor, Wild Ndipo, will sign a memorandum to agree new aims and to continue the city twinning.

Chitsulo and Namadingo will also perform in other places in Germany.
