Globe launches Yankho Online
One of the country’s ICT service providers, Globe Internet Limited, has launched an online portal, Yankho Online, which aims at helping people conduct transactions in the comfort of their homes.
The transactions include application for jobs, tertiary education enrollment application, national ID application and electricity connection application.
Speaking during the launch, the company’s chief commercial manager Ilias Imaan said the system aims at saving people’s time and bringing convenience to them in their daily lives and institutions.
“If a client starts using this system, there is no paper involved, the payment is guaranteed; so, it is simple and time saving because a job that would have been done in 20 days can be done in two days only,” he said.
For one to access service through the system, an institution will engage Globe Internet Limited and will have their own portal which they can use and control for specific purposes.
Imaan added that the solution has been built to protect clients’ data from fraudsters and make sure that payments are not compromised.
“It is more secure, more robust and I can assure our clients that we have banks we host using our other systems; so, that can tell you that our products are always top notch,” he added.
