Gospel musician Joe Manguluti denied bail

Gospel musician, preacher and master of ceremonies Joseph Manguluti, popularly known as Joe Manguluti, was on Monday denied bail by the Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court in Lilongwe.

Manguluti, whose music video ‘Tili Awiri Ndi Yesu’ enjoyed massive airplay on television, was arrested by Lingadzi Police on May 23 over incest allegations.

Lingadzi Police spokesperson, Foster Benjamin, confirmed the development, saying hearing of the case will continue on June 8.

Manguluti is alleged to have raped his adopted daughter on May 15 in her bedroom at their Area 18B residence.
