Green Harawa dismisses Bullets link
Silver Strikers forward, Green Harawa has distanced himself from speculations linking him with a move to Big Bullets in the next transfer window.
Rumours are rife in town that Harawa wants to swap sky blue for red next season. Harawa’s absence in some of Silver’s recent games heightened the speculations.
The former Blackpool attacker claimed that he was happy at the Central Bankers.
He has one-year remaining on his contract.
“I am just hearing rumours in town, but I have no intention of leaving Silver for a local club next season. If I leave Silver, I will join a foreign team to advance my football career,” Harawa said.
The pint-sized forward has been in top form this season having scored 12 goals in the TNM Super League.
Harawa is just a goal behind reigning top goal scorer Innocent Bokosi of Red Lions.
“As Silver, we had a difficult season but we hope we will do better next season. I am still in contention for the Golden Boot award and I will fight hard to score more goals in the remaining two games,” he said.
Harawa played for Bullets for a season in 2012, but his career took a nose dive due to injuries and he eventually returned to Silver a season later.
At the peak of his career, Harawa had a brief stint in Mauritius. Last year, Harawa was on the verge of joining Extension Gunners of Botswana but the deal did not go through.
