Green Harawa, Ndaziona Chatsalira pen two-year deals in Mozambique
Barely a week after Mozambican club, CD Chingale hired Malawian goalkeeper, Richard Chipuwa, the neighbouring country’s other club, Ferroviario De Nampula have reportedly signed Silver Strikers forward Green Harawa and midfielder Ndaziona Chatsalira on Tuesday.
Chatsalira told Times Radio from Nampula that together with compatriot Harawa, they passed a medical on Monday and they had been offered two-year deals each.
He said they did not hesitate, but sign the contracts.
The on-and-off Flames playmaker said he was waiting for Ferroviario De Nampula to negotiate with Silver officials on the clearance and transfer fee.
Chatsalira said Harawa will likely go as a free agent following the expiry of his contract.
He said signing for Ferraviario de Nampula was important as he wants to develop his football career.
“I’m very delighted to sign for this club here. I will work hard so that I should be playing in the first-eleven. I have been in touch with my officials from Malawi and all is good. l am just waiting for my team and management here to sort out each other on other issues in as far as the International Transfer is concerned,” he said.
Silver general secretary, Chimwemwe Mnkhwimba, said they were waiting for official communication from their counterparts.
Mnkhwimba admitted that the club will just set a transfer fee for Chatsalira only because Harawa’s contract already expired.
“The player is still contracted to us and the team hasn’t contacted us yet for his clearance. Obviously, they must seek our clearance through Football Association of Malawi,” he said.
