Guntej Nain, Lusayo Sibale win FMB golf
Well-known golfers Guntej Nain and Lusayo Sibale dominated FMB Golf Tournament at Kasasa Club in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota District on Saturday.
In the men’s section, Nain, with a 12-handicap, finished on first position after collecting 70 points, followed by Mphatso Mtambo on second place. Mtambo, playing off handicap 22, got 71 points whereas third-placed Dan Mvula collected 73 points.
In the ladies’ section, Sibale, with handicap 36, scooped first position with 72 points ahead of second-placed Chimwemwe Chavura. The runner-up got 76 points.
The tournament used medal format which involves counting the total number of strokes on each hole during a given round. The winner is the player who takes fewest strokes over the course of the rounds.
FMB Regional Corporate Banking Manager for the Central and Northern Region, Thenga Kapeta, said they sponsored the tournament to enhance the bank’s relationship with its corporate customers.
