Gwamba sets up ‘big’ show in Mzuzu
Rapper Gwamba said Friday the Northern Region is sidelined when it comes to big concerts and festivals hence taking Gwamba Live Concert to Mzuzu Stadium next month.
The concert, which will also feature South African act Emtee,- will take place at Mzuzu Stadium on November 21 2021.
“It is going to be a massive show. I just pray for good weather on the day; otherwise, it will be historical for Mzuzu and entire Northern Region,” Gwamba said.
He said he thought of staging this concert to give the Northern Region a top show.
“The Northern Region is always sidelined when it comes to top concerts and festivals. Most of them take place in the Central and Southern regions. The truth is that the Northern Region deserves big shows as well,” Gwamba said.
“In fact I wanted to hold this show last year in February but due to Covid I cancelled it. So the concert is back and it will be bigger,” Gwamba, who recently spiced up Onesimus’ Homecoming concert, added.
Emtee comes down to Mzuzu to perform with Gwamba having done collaborations.
Gwamba featured Emtee in the track ‘Own Time’ while Emtee featured Gwamba in the song ‘Uzoyimela’.
