Malawi women’s national football team returned from the Cosafa Women’s Championship in South Africa Tuesday after exiting the competition following a 6-0 loss to the hosts Banyana Banyana on Monday.
However, Malawian Fifa first assistant referee, Happiness Mbandambanda, is still involved in the tournament which is underway in Port Elizabeth.
Mbandambanda said she was learning a lot from the regional championship. The Blantyre-based referee has so far officiated Cameroon versus Mozambique game then a match between the Central Africans and Zambia.
