Hats and Tea fundraiser runs for 9th edition in USA

The 9th edition of Hats and Tea red carpet event took place recently in United States of America rasing $ 6,000 through ticket sales and partenership.

Hats and Tea Inc. founder Kate Joyo, who is based in South Bend said their mission is to empower, inspire, impact, educate and promote women and children by focusing on some of the major issues they face in their day to day life.

“The Hats and Tea red carpet event is our annual fundraiser and it has in it women empowerment programme, spiritual upliftment, fashion show and health and beauty tips and we also had a live band,” Joyo said.

Joyo a sister to gospel musician Bishop Reverend Chimwemwe Mhango, said through the Hats and Tea event, they have already enhanced their efforts in Malawi where they established a local arm called Kwithu chapter.

“This helps in catering to our targeted most vulnerable demographics of women and children through various support. Our donation in Mtsiriza in Lilongwe was part of our collective effort as a Christian organisation to bridge the gap and uplift those who are in need,” Joyo said.
