Rapper Hayze Engolah has signed a deal with Scott’s Food Market as its brand ambassador.
The deal is on probation for a period of two months, with an option to extend.
Engolah said he was happy to enter into a partnership with Scott’s Food Market, adding that the deal was a sign of growth for the music industry.
“As artists, let us not just invest in creative music alone because we are just not in the music industry, we are in the music business. So, it is really important for artists to invest more time, collaborate and associate with brands in the corporate world,” he said.
Scott’s Food Market Manager Reinhardt Hubsch said they decided to work with Hayze Engolah because he is a renowned artist and a good businessman.
“This makes him the right candidate for brand ambassador as he can help us reach out to more people out there. Our expectation is to promote both sides of our businesses. We hope to grow our customer base and clientele,” Hubsch said.
Scott’s Food Market is a supermarket located in Limbe, Blantyre.
Meanwhile, Hayze Engolah is expected to drop a new single titled ‘Kaneni’ on Made on Monday.
Hayze Engolah last year made it to the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.
Opportunities seem to be opening up for artists as, of late, there have also been other artists who have been made brand faces by companies and they include Lawi and Phyzix.
