Homeland Family takes album launch to Lilongwe

After successfully launching their album titled Panga Chisankho and their DVD Khala Maso in Blantyre and Mzuzu recently, gospel group Homeland Family storms Chinsapo Secondary School in Lilongwe on Saturday.

Homeland Family Singers is a Seventh Day Adventist church group which came to the limelight after releasing their first album titled Timuyamike.

“We are geared for the launch in Lilongwe, we received a tremendous support in Blantyre and Mzuzu and we hope we will also get the same support in Lilongwe. We are excited with the launch this being the festive season and so it will be part of celebrating Christmas,” said the group’s Project Director Clement Twaya.

He said they decided to release the Khala Maso DVD so as to keep up with the advancing technology and that as gospel musicians, they are supposed to move with time.

“The DVD is one way of reaching out to many people and we hope people will love the work therein and be blessed,” said Twaya.

According to him, the DVD has songs from their previous albums which include ‘Nthawi Yatha,’ ‘Zachisoni,’ Khala Maso,’ ‘Nkhani Yokoma,’ and ‘Sweeter Grapes.’

On their latest album Panga Chisankho, Twaya said people will be blessed with the songs which he added have inspiring messages of love, hope as well as glorifying God.

“We are living in the last days hence we should be reminding each other about the rightful way of living as directed in the Bible,” he said.
